A Dedication to Munroe

Because of Adam’s sin death came into the world for all creation and I grieve that fact as we miss our oldest dog Munroe.  “For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly but because of him who subjected it (Romans 8:20).”

I love both my dogs.  Munroe is the larger browner dog in the photo.  He recently passed away this week.  Too little is said in Christian circles about the pets God gives us.  This dog was a true gift from God.  We had Munroe for 10 years.  We brought him home on a little pillow for him to sleep on and when it was time for him to make that last trip to the vet we took him out on a similar one.

He was there for us through every life event and trial.  This dog was very intelligent.  We had to change the word for walk several times.  He even caught on to excursion.  He was protective of his family, playful and energetic.  He played rough.

I was mostly drawn to him because of his boldness, confidence and his refusal to take no for an answer.  He was loving, disobedient, an independent thinker and very misunderstood.  I have never known an animal so much like me.

Thank you God for blessing us with a great dog for 10 years.
